From I-80, take the Earlham exit (exit 104), bear to the right, and proceed north on I Ave. Continue past the intersection with 358th Pl. From County Road F60, turn south onto H Ave. This intersection is about 5 1/2 miles west of Adel and about 2 miles east of Redfield. Continue on H Ave. for about 4 miles to the junction with Bear Creek R. Turn east (left) on Bear Creek Rd. and continue 1/2 mile to the junction with Houston Trail (a "T" intersection). Turn north (left) at the intersection and continue about 1 3/4 miles to the park.

Old Business

IOU Graphic Artist Needed: Emily Vaughn has been looking into ordering IOU gear like window stickers, water bottles, etc. She is looking for someone with graphic arts skills (e.g., Adobe, Corel, etc.) to help refine our logo before we can place an order. Please contact Emily at eev23@hotmail.com if you can help out.

IOU Policy Committee Needed: As we are now over a year old, IOU needs to begin developing some policies for several topics including: driving to events, planning trips and events, website, dues, etc. If you would like to help work on the policies, please email iowaoutdoorunlimited@yahoo.com.

IOU Partnerships Needed: IOU is looking to network and build relationships with other outdoor groups around Des Moines. If you belong to any other outdoors clubs or have contacts in other clubs, please share your contacts, websites, event calendars, or emails with IOU. Please email iowaoutdoorunlimited@yahoo.com.
